Members of the billing department

  Jenna maintains the largest pediatric account and has an eye for detail. Jenna has been with GMS since 2016. Her strengths are getting her work done correctly in a quick and efficient manner. In her free time she is a wife and mother of 3 and Jenna loves Elvis Presley.

Steve is an AAPC Certified Professional Coder and specializes in working with the Department of Labor and Physical Therapy. He has also added professional billing for Nursing Homes to his repertoire. Steve has been with GMS since 2017. Many would describe Steve as meticulous and thorough. In his free time, you will likely find Steve volunteering with local entities. 

Lucas has extensive knowledge of pain management billing for clinics and for ASC's and has completed the Certified Professional Billing course. Lucas has been working with GMS since 2017.  Lucas is a quiet team member who is detailed in all that he does. When not working you can often find Lucas enjoying time with his cat, Stanley. 

Candace has worked with GMS since 2010 and specializes in Pain Management billing. She has billed for both Professional clinic and ASC's. She is extremely knowledgeable in the field of pain and is meticulous in her work.

Jennifer is a dedicated member of the GMS staff and has worked for GMS since 2016. Previously excelling in the Accounts Resolution department, Jennifer has used her knowledge to transfer seamlessly into the Billing department. Jennifer specializes in pain management clinic billing and is a focused team member who takes great pride in a job well done.  Jennifer can be found spending time with her husband and children when not working.   

Cheyenne has expertise in Pain Management and OBGYN billing. While originally focusing solely on the pain world, Cheyenne transitioned into OBGYN billing to expand her knowledge and versatility. Cheyenne has been working with GMS since 2016. 

Taylor R. joined Gateway Medical Solutions in 2024 and specializes in Geriatrics and Palliative Care billing, supporting a large clinic with facilities across Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. She has successfully completed the CPB course at GMS and is currently preparing to earn her national certification through AAPC. Taylor’s background in management, including her experience as a Domino’s manager, has given her strong organizational and leadership skills that she now applies in billing operations.

After graduating High School in New York, Taylor attended the University of New Mexico before beginning her career in healthcare billing. She is recognized for her dedication, focus, and commitment to delivering accurate results for providers and patients alike.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys reading, anime, and brain-challenging games. She loves elephants, hot chocolate, and counts Pride and Prejudice among her favorite movies. A married mother of three, she also enjoys time with her dog, Zelda. She lives by her favorite quote: “The thing you fear the most has no power. Your fear of it is what has the power. Facing the truth will set you free.” 

Ashley joined Gateway Medical Solutions in May 2024 and specializes in Neonatology and OB/GYN billing. From the start, she has taken initiative to ensure her clinics are well supported and claims are billed with accuracy and care. She has successfully completed the CPB classes at GMS and is currently preparing to earn her national certification through AAPC.

As the first in her family to attend college, Ashley brings a strong sense of determination and dedication to her role. She is guided by her personal motto: “Treat every day like it’s your last.”

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys swimming, family outings to the zoo and Elephant Rocks, and cheering on her favorite movie A Walk to Remember. She also has a love for Mexican food, Pepsi, and making memories with her loved ones.

Alex has been a  Billing Representative at Gateway Medical Solutions, since February of 2024, specializing in Neonatology and Pediatric billing for some of GMS’s largest clinics. Known for her accuracy, focus, and strong problem-solving skills, Alex helps ensure that providers receive timely and accurate reimbursement.

She is recognized by her teammates for her energy, creativity, and team-player spirit—always willing to go the extra mile to support both clients and coworkers. With her sharp eye for detail and strategic mindset, Alex brings a fresh approach to billing that strengthens the entire department.

Outside of work, Alex is a passionate gamer and proud Pokémon enthusiast, bringing the same strategy and determination from her favorite games into her professional life. Her fun, lighthearted personality and dedication to excellence make her a truly valued member of the GMS team.
