Josh is the AR Administrator and the longest-standing member of the Accounts Resolution team, having been with GMS since 2008. With over 15 years of experience, Josh has gained a working knowledge of every department at GMS and is recognized as an excellent AR trainer and mentor. His expertise extends beyond managing accounts—he is also a Billing Administrator and AR Supervisor, focused on promoting efficient workflows, building strong provider relationships, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

A graduate of the CPB course through GMS, Josh is known for his ability to maintain a positive attitude even in moments of chaos, and he firmly believes that staying calm in times of crisis is the key to continued success. His charisma and sense of humor make him a favorite among coworkers, often lifting team spirit when things get tough.

Josh grew up in Bourbon, Missouri, and is a passionate fan of the Gonzaga Bulldogs. He even runs a respected and trusted Gonzaga social media account: @schwaderZag62. On game day, you’ll often find him with an ice-cold Mr. Pibb in hand, cheering on his team.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and their three beautiful young children, who are his greatest pride and joy. His favorite quote, “Pressure is a privilege,” reflects his outlook on both work and life—embracing challenges as opportunities to grow and excel.

Michael has been a valued part of GMS since 2016, specializing in OB/GYN Accounts Receivable as well as Primary Care and RPM/CCM and Geriatrics. Known for his attention to detail and efficiency in researching carrier policies, Michael ensures accuracy and compliance in every account he manages. He is described as a self-sufficient and diligent worker, and he also serves as the company’s go-to IT backup—helping with computers, printers, and software whenever anyone runs into trouble.

A graduate of the University of Missouri–St. Louis, Michael earned his BA in Anthropology, Magna Cum Laude, with a special focus on Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology. He is now pursuing his Master’s degree while continuing to grow in his role at GMS. Originally from Bourbon, Missouri, Michael now lives in Springfield, Missouri with his wife and daughter.

Outside of work, Michael is a true enthusiast of sci-fi, fantasy, and gaming. He enjoys video games, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, sci-fi and horror movies, and is a big fan of The Lord of the Rings. He also loves a good classic cheeseburger or Thai food, and has a deep interest in history and world cultures. A fun fact: while Michael excels in many areas, he admits he’s a terrible swimmer.

At home, Michael enjoys time with his family, including their two dogs, and balances his love of learning with plenty of humor. His favorite quote comes from Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings:
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

Krystal has been part of the GMS family since 2021, specializing in Pain Management Accounts Receivable while also bringing her expertise to Neonatology AR. With her background in leadership roles and training through both the CPC course at Penn Foster and the CPB course at GMS, Krystal has built a strong foundation in medical billing. She is known for her ability to tackle even the most complex billing scenarios with confidence and ease, making her an invaluable part of the Accounts Receivable team.

Outside of work, Krystal enjoys reading, cheering on anything NFL, and spending time with her husband and their four children. A big fan of Harry Potter movies, The Office, and Stephen King books, she blends humor, curiosity, and a love for storytelling into her everyday life.

A fun fact about Krystal: she has two middle names—and passed on that tradition by giving each of her four daughters two middle names as well. Her favorite quote is one that reflects her thoughtful outlook on life:
“To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.” – Albus Dumbledore

Krystal is grateful for the support of her husband, who stands beside her through the whirlwind of family activities and the busy life they share together. Her dedication, experience, and heart make her a key part of the GMS team.

Helen joined Gateway Medical Solutions in 2023 and quickly rose into the role of Accounts Resolution Supervisor. She is widely regarded as an expert in Pediatric AR and takes great pride in ensuring outstanding claims are resolved and providers receive the payments they deserve.

In addition to her pediatric expertise, Helen is versatile in handling Ophthalmology and various surgical groups, bringing broad knowledge to her supervisory role. As a leader, she is known for mentoring her team with patience and encouragement, guiding them to develop their skills while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Respected for her quiet grace, supportive nature, and passion for results, Helen is both beloved by her teammates and trusted by her employees. Her dedication and collaborative approach make her an invaluable part of the GMS leadership team.

Kari C.  has been with GMS since 2024. She specializes in Pain Management AR, and in projects as needed. 

Judy joined the Accounts Receivable team at GMS in 2025, bringing her strong background as a Customer Service Specialist to help support clients with accuracy, care, and a smile. Her people-first approach and attention to detail make her a valued part of the billing process, ensuring providers get paid timely and patients receive excellent support.

Originally from Westfield, Illinois, Judy carries her hometown values of hard work and community into everything she does. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading with a good cup of coffee in hand. As a proud mom of seven children, family is at the heart of her world.

Judy is also a passionate reader and loves the works of Lani Lynn Vale and Mary Kennedy. Her personal motto is captured in her favorite quote: “Let’s do this.”

Shannon specializes in Neonatology AR and takes great pride in her work. Shannon has been with GMS since 2024. She enjoys seeing outstanding claims getting paid and increase in payments for her providers.

 Rebecca is a multi-specialist with experience in Ophthalmology, GI, Pain, and more. She has been working for GMs since 2023. She is very friendly and is never afraid to ask questions to ensure any issues get addressed and resolved as quickly as possible.
